Name: Sarah Location: London, England This happened about 29years ago but its still very fresh in my mind. I was staying with my Aunt for a short break, down in Dorset. I was only 12 years old at the time. The house was an old Victorian house. I had been there for a couple of days and was having a good time. On about the third night I had gone to bed as usual and was awoken in the early hours of the morning. I had the feeling someone was in the room. It was dark but still light enough to see. Looking over the bed clothes there was nothing to see yet I noticed that the bedroom door was open. I was sure it was shut when I went to sleep. Thinking nothing of it, thought maybe my aunt had looked in and left it open. I was then aware of the bed clothes being slowly pulled off. It was summer so I only had a light sheet on as it was quiet warm. I felt a sudden terror and jumped up in bed, pulling the sheet back up at the same time. I very clearly saw a small figure I would guess a child running out through the door. I screamed out and my aunt soon came into the room. She said I was most likely dreaming. A few years later she had moved house by now. We were talking and I mentioned the experience again. She then owned up that she had seen a child like figure in the house on a couple of occasions herself but she did not want to frighten me at the time. Name: Rob Location: Lincoln, England I have always had a bit of a interest in ghosts but had never really seen anything that I would definitely call a ghost. Then two years ago I was working at a house in Essex, we had been called in to do some electrical work. I was busy rewiring upstairs and working off a ladder and my mate with me shouted out that he was going to the shop. I heard the van drive off and kept getting on with the work in hand. In the corner of my eye I noticed some one come up the stairs. For a moment I though it was John, my mate but then I realised he had just gone out in the van. Called out his name, no reply. Looked around in the rooms upstairs. Nothing. Then I went down stairs to look around, no one there and the van had gone. I need to point out here that no one else had been in the house apart from me and John. I felt a little spooked to be honest so I stood in the front door way at the bottom of the stairs and decided to have a smoke. While I was standing there I heard the stairs behind me creaking as if some one was walking down them. When I turned around there was no one there. I don’t know if this was a ghost or just me spooking myself out while working in an old house on my own but I have to admit it did put the wind up me a bit.
