Ghost InvestigationsAlways interview any witnesses to a haunting before an investigation when ever possible. This will help you establish when and where the most likely place to set up your observation post. If several witnesses report that the apparition was seen during the day then it makes sense to hold your investigation during the day and not at night because it’s more fun. Do any historical research on a location before the investigation as this can also point you to other possible good observation points in the location. If you are out with a group of people split into smaller groups of two people minimum to cover different areas. Rotate the teams during your stay to observe what differences or similarities each group report. Keep all your observations noted in a notebook and hold a debriefing session at the end of the vigil. Telling each team what you have experienced before the end of the vigil will only help to give false impressions and possible false evidence based on pre-suggestion. Any information you may have received in the witness interviews and historical research keep to yourself for a while. If one of the team out an investigation reports seeing an apparition of let’s say a child in a particular room and you have not told them before hand that is what the witness reported seeing then it will give a lot more credibility to the experience as being a genuine sighting rather than the possibility of suggestion based evidence. When the vigil is over make sure that you leave the location exactly as you found it. Remove all rubbish etc and respect the property that you’re on. From the perspective of both the owners of the property and of course the spirit that may be there. After the investigation 1. Ghost Hunting : 2. Ghost Investigations : 3. Ghost Hunting Equipment |
